History of fine watchmaking in 3 minutes

To mark the 200th birthday of Ferdinand A. Lange, the founder of fine watchmaking in Glashütte and of the A. Lange & Söhne brand, we have created a film that integrates original historical material such as photos, old sketches, his surviving hiking book and personal notes. The result is not only a film about the personal life story of the company founder, but also the history of fine watchmaking – entertainingly told in 3 minutes.

Comprehensive editorial research and support during production as well as the sensitive handling of the historical pictorial material form an essential basis of the concept. The collage technique conceived for this purpose, as graphic bracket and packaging, integrates the heterogeneous historical pictorial material and leads through history.
